FAQ

Yes. We serve a set menu paired with your choice of either an alcoholic or zero-proof drink menu. Within reason, we can alter dishes to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Please let us know in advance by emailing hello@sunago.gives.

We cover the cost of each dinner with funds allocated from our personal charitable giving budget. Our goal is to stretch our "donation" further by facilitating the charitable giving of others. We do not receive or handle any donations ourselves. After each dinner, guests will receive an email containing a link to our seasonal fundraising page which is provided by CanadaHelps. Guests can make a secure donation through the fundraising page and optionally receive a charitable tax receipt by providing their email address. CanadaHelps is a self-funded registered charity that takes less than 3% in fees to support their goal of facilitating millions of donations to thousands of Canadian charities every year. Donations are optional but highly encouraged! If you want to donate, please give what you feel the meal was worth to you. We want to be able to share this experience with everyone regardless of financial abilities, so pay it forward however you feel comfortable.

Sunago (συνάγω) comes from the Greek term meaning to gather or collect. It can refer to the gathering of a harvest such as fish being gathered in a net or fruit being gathered in a basket. However, it also refers to the gathering together of people in community.
